Liza Pugh-Nicholson, MSM, CRS-A/D

Liza Pugh-Nicholson is the Founder and Director of the Younger Women’s Task Force of Tuscaloosa. She is a member of several social and professional organizations: The International Association of Professional Women, An Affiliate of The Alabama Research Institute on Aging at the University of Alabama, Alliance and Information Referral Systems Member, American College of Healthcare Executives, MOMENTUM Leaders Project and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of West Alabama and a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from Troy University. Her professional background focuses on Management, Social Services and Healthcare. She is also Certified in Mental Health First Aide,  Improvement of Global Health and serves as a Healthcare Educator, Community Resource Specialist, Certified Application Counselor/Trainer, and Notary Public for the State of Alabama.

The Tuscaloosa Chapter of the Younger Women’s Task Force was established to promote awareness of women’s rights and provide personal and professional support for younger women in the Tuscaloosa/West Alabama area.

Director of Finance:

Shjuan D. Crockett, CRNP, FNP-C

Shjuan Pickett is an Alabama native and one of the co-founders of the YWTF of Tuscaloosa where she currently serves as the Director of Finance on the board of directors. Shjuan holds several college degrees including: an Associate’s in Nursing from the University of West Alabama, a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Alabama, and a Master’s in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner from Samford University. She currently holds an FNP certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Shjuan is an active member of several social and professional organizations including: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Professionally, she has spent her career in the primary and rural healthcare setting with healthcare management and healthcare provider experience. Shjuan enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and cooking in her spare time.
